December 1, 2017 – New Year Is Coming
Good Ole’ December is the month of the winter, longer nights, and cool temperatures. In a few weeks, skies will light up with fireworks and kisses will be given out at the same time. Realizing today’s date, I became a little nostalgic. Seriously, where did the time go? My friends and family turned a year older and went through some awesome life events, so I am thankful to the year I’ve had. December has just begun!
This blog post is a dedication to some of my fondest memories so far this year.
Two big events I experienced were:
- Children auditioned for school programs
- GOT7 came to Washington, D.C. and I experienced it like a true fan
Maryland prepared for a snow storm that was supposed to bring the wrath of winter with it…but the storm failed to show.
One of my favorite k-dramas, Goblin, came to an end.
A new semester at school begun.
I cut ties with a toxic associate. Some people aren’t ready to be helped.
The month of lovers, right? I spent Valentine’s Day with my kids and they came home with cards received from school mates.
Also, Black History Month was here and I issued my children writing assignments each day which included short essays, poems, and short stories. During Black History Month, I like to get creative with my writing assignments for my kids. I grew up writing about Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X, but Black people have a rich history and we have more than two people we can write about.
Ghost in the Shell, The Boss Baby, Power Rangers, and Smurfs: The Lost Village released in theaters and I saw them all.
I was not disappointed with Ghost in the Shell and thought that Scarlett Johansson did a good job (I’m a fan)!
Archer Season 7 came to Netflix…golden.
I enjoyed a wonderful birthday with a family member. Other than that, April wasn’t the best month.
Sims 4 Parenthood arrived!
Celebrated a wonderful life event with family — cried like a baby.
I was finally relieved of some unwanted stress (Classes ended)
A birthday celebration was held and I realized that cake is not my friend.
I hosted an online 30 day fitness challenge.
The PTA membership voted me in as the President and I became extremely busy.
Halloween candy for days! I still cannot believe how much candy I purchased to give out.
Thanksgiving came and went so fast. Another life event was held. It was 60 degrees in Maryland yesterday.
And now….December 2017
Today marks the first day of a new month, the last month of the year. Today is tomorrow’s memory which we all know time does not stand still. I am excited as the end of the year holidays approach.
